Hemkunt Press, established in 1948, is a leading publisher of school text books and illustrated story books for children on Indian folklore, mythology, religion and history. The founder of the company late S. Bhagat Singh, was an educationist having a natural flair for writing. He authored several educational books which found instant success and were readily accepted by schools all over India. Today, at Hemkunt, we follow his vision which is our guiding light towards publishing superior quality books in different fields.
His son, G.P. Singh, after completing his Printing Management course from Rochester Institute of Technology (RIT), Rochester, NY, (U.S.A.) joined the business in 1963.
Mr. G.P. Singh's elder son, Deepinder Singh, did his B.Sc. in Business Administration from California State University, Hayward, California (U.S.A.) and joined the company in 1990. His younger son, Arvinder Singh, did his B.Sc. in Marketing & Finance from University of California, Berkeley, California (U.S.A.) also joined the company in 1992.
The Hemkunt Group has now diversified into providing quality publishing and printing services including "on demand" publishing jobs to corporations, institutions, publishers, writers and authors. Being in the business for 75 years, we have the expertise and the experience to fulfill our clients' requirements to their satisfaction with a 'client friendly' and personal approach. In appreciation of our work we have received numerous awards including the prestigious “Excellence in Printing and Design Award” given by the Government of India, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
